Martef-coated Metsän Poika knives are excellent tools for hunters.
The dirt and moisture-repellent Martef coating reduces friction to almost zero and simultaneously protects the blade from corrosion. Thanks to the coating, the blade moves very smoothly through the material being cut, and cleaning the blade after use is extremely easy.
The skinning hook is an excellent aid for opening and skinning game animals. The hook on the blunt side allows for easy opening of the animal, and the round blade design ensures that the hide comes off intact and cleanly. Sharpening the hook can be done with a tapered sharpener (e.g., Marttiini diamond sharpener).
The rubber handle and finger guard ensure safe use of the hook. The stainless steel blade sharpening angle allows the skinning hook to be used like a regular knife. A true multi-tool for hunters.
