FX True Ballistic Muzzle Velocity Meter Doppler Radar, Chronograph, Bullet Speed
Please enter your email address and we will send you a notification when the product is in stock again. After this your email will be removed from our list.
FX True Ballistics bullet velocity meter measures the actual flight speed of the bullet at four different speeds between 0 and 300 yards to determine the true ballistic coefficient using G1/G7 models. The meter can be used from its own display or by connecting to the FX radar phone app for ballistic additional data. Data from the phone app can easily be stored or copied. The velocity meter is an essential tool for every reloader and long-range precision shooter. Velocity is one of the clearest indicators of cartridge pressure and crucial to confirm with self-loaded cartridges. The meter provides critical information about cartridge and bullet characteristics, allowing the calculation of trajectories and adjustments for more accurate and longer shots. The ballistic coefficient calculated by the meter provides a more accurate result with a ballistic program than an assumed general coefficient.
Order time if not in stock is approximately 10 days.
The FX radar does not require an external trigger device, microphone, tripod, or battery. The radar's carrying case also serves as the support for the unit, and the internal battery can be charged via USB-C. The radar can be easily aimed at targets using the aiming scope on top of the radar to ensure bullet tracking. It is advisable to position the radar close to the gun barrel sideways to allow for more accurate speed measurement. This distance should also be adjusted in the device settings as appropriate.
The velocity meter has many features and advantages compared to traditional light-based meters.
Functionality regardless of lighting conditions Measures actual bullet flight speed at different distances instead of a single measurement interval The device calculates the maximum variation and standard deviation of a series and indicates the highest and lowest speed. The device reports the distance at which the transition from supersonic to subsonic flight occurs. Measures speeds of approximately 120 - 1220+ m/s or 400 - 4000+ fps No need to shoot through the meter, eliminating the risk of shooting the meter. The device's dimensions when transported are approximately 18.8 cm x 24.4 cm or 7.4" x 9.6" with a weight of about 820 grams.
