.17 HMR - The Hunter's Choice: The .17 HMR caliber provides significant advantages specifically for hunting applications. Its flat trajectory aids in aiming at varying distances, and its high velocity provides the necessary kinetic energy. In terms of safety, the .17 HMR is often the optimal choice: its lightweight, frangible bullet quickly loses energy upon impact with an obstruction, minimizing the danger zone compared to more traditional calibers. This is especially important when shooting at higher angles or in open areas.

Top-tier Optics: The Meopta MeoHunter R5, with its 20x maximum magnification, gives you the ability to identify and aim at targets with precision. The 50 mm front lens ensures excellent light transmission, extending hunting hours during low light conditions. The BDC-3 reticle allows for rapid altitude adjustments when turret adjustments may not be feasible in certain situations. It is secured with Element Optics XT mounts directly onto the Tikka's 11mm rail.

Stability and Transport: The included Buffalo River bipods provide a stable platform for shooting from a prone position.
