Strasser RS 700 Semi-Weight Locking Barrel is built on the Remington 700 chassis, one of the world's most popular bases for bolt-action rifles. As a straight-pull bolt action, Strasser's vision of this weapon is significantly quicker to operate compared to traditional bolt-action rifles without compromising safety: the RS 700 features four locking lugs, each sufficient for secure firing. The RS 700 can easily utilize readily available Remington 700 barrels, two-piece scope mounts, trigger mechanisms, and stocks for both left- and right-handed shooters. Additionally, the weapon employs an AICS magazine well, making it compatible with magazines of that standard.

Constructed from robust steel, the RS 700 Semi-Weight Locking Barrel, like other models in Strasser’s 700 series, is protected from scratches and corrosion by PlasOx surface treatment. The barrels are cold-hammer forged to ensure precision and durability. They come pre-threaded for a suppressor or muzzle brake. The firearm is equipped with a high-quality Timney Hunter Elite trigger, featuring a two-position safety and a 2.5-pound (approximately 1.13 kg) trigger pull weight. There’s also a bolt indicator at the rear of the action.

Compatibility with Remington 700:

• Stocks: The RS 700 is compatible with all Remington 700 Short Action stocks for both right- and left-handed users. The locking mechanism stylishly fits the action handle slot of the stock. The holder can be swapped to either side depending on the stock.
• Barrels: Any Remington 700 barrel with a barrel nut or locking ring is compatible with RS 700. Due to the “fat bolt” style used in manufacturing, slight modification is necessary for a slightly larger bolt to fit with the barrel.
• AICS Compatible: AICS (Accuracy International Chassis System) is a magazine standard. All double-stack, but single-feed AICS-compatible polymer and metal magazines fit this firearm.
• Trigger Mechanisms: All Remington 700 trigger mechanisms are compatible.
