Strasser RS 700 Long Range bolt action rifle is based on the Remington 700, one of the most popular platforms for bolt-action rifles worldwide. As a straight pull rifle, Strasser’s design offers significantly faster operation than traditional bolt-action rifles without sacrificing safety: the RS 700 utilizes four locking lugs, each one sufficient for secure locking of the chamber. The RS 700 is compatible with readily available Remington 700 barrels, 2-piece scope mounts, triggers, and stocks for both left-hand and right-hand configurations. Additionally, the rifle uses AICS magazine wells, making it compatible with AICS standard magazines.

Constructed from durable steel, the RS 700 Long Range bolt action rifle is protected against scratches and corrosion with PlasOx surface treatment, like other models in Strasser's 700 series. The barrels are cold hammer forged for optimal accuracy and durability. The barrels come with a pre-cut thread for a suppressor or muzzle brake. The rifles feature an easy-to-operate Timney Hunter Elite trigger with a two-position safety and a trigger pull weight of 2.5 lbs (approximately 1.13 kg). The bolt design includes a cocking indicator.

Compatibility with Remington 700:

• Stocks: The RS 700 is compatible with all Remington 700 Short Action stocks for both right-handed and left-handed configurations. The bolt catch stylishly fills the bolt handle cutout in the stock, and the catch can be swapped to either side depending on the stock.
• Barrels: Any Remington 700 barrels with a barrel nut or recess for barrel locking fit the RS 700. Due to the use of the so-called "fat bolt" style, slight modification is necessary for the larger bolt to fit with the barrel.
• AICS compatible: AICS (Accuracy International Chassis System) is a magazine standard. All double-stack AICS compatible polymer and metal magazines feed correctly.
• Triggers: All Remington 700 triggers are compatible.
