Sold as a complete rifle package with a stock, the Strasser RS 700 XRS is an exceptionally clever and sleek firearm. This rifle is based on the Remington 700, one of the most popular platforms for bolt-action rifles worldwide. The straight-pull design makes the Strasser's approach significantly faster than traditional bolt-action rifles without compromising safety: the RS 700 uses four locking lugs, each sufficient for securely locking a shot. The RS 700 can easily utilize readily available Remington 700 barrels, two-piece scope mounts, triggers, and stocks for both left- and right-handed users. In addition, the rifle features an AICS magazine well, making it compatible with magazines of that standard.

Constructed from durable steel, the RS 700 XRS, like other Strasser 700-series rifles, is protected from scratches and corrosion by PlasOx surface treatment. The barrels are cold-hammer forged to ensure precision and durability. They come with pre-threading for a suppressor or muzzle brake. The rifle is equipped with a Timney Hunter Elite trigger for enhanced shooting ease, featuring a two-position safety and a 2.5-pound (approximately 1.13 kg) trigger pull weight. The action has a cocking indicator at the rear.

Compatibility with Remington 700:

• Stocks: The RS 700 is compatible with all Remington 700 Short Action stocks for both right and left-handed users. The bolt catch stylishly fills the bolt handle hole in the stock. The catch can be swapped to either side depending on the stock.
• Barrels: All Remington 700 barrels with a barrel nut or step to lock the barrel are compatible with the RS 700. Due to the use of so-called "fat bolt" style in manufacturing, minor adjustments are necessary for the larger locking mechanism to fit with the barrel.
• AICS compatible: AICS (Accuracy International Chassis System) is a magazine standard. All double-stack but single-feed AICS compatible magazines, both polymer and metal, fit this rifle.
• Triggers: All Remington 700 triggers are compatible.
