Strasser RS 700 Standard straight-pull bolt-action barrel is based on the Remington 700, one of the most popular platforms for bolt-action rifles worldwide. As a straight-pull system, Strasser's design is significantly faster in operation compared to traditional bolt-action rifles without compromising safety: the RS 700 utilizes four locking lugs, each sufficient for securely locking a shot. The RS 700 is compatible with widely available Remington 700 barrels, 2-piece scope mounts, triggers, and stocks, whether left or right-handed. Additionally, the rifle employs AICS magazine well, accommodating magazines that meet the AICS standard.

Constructed from sturdy steel, the RS 700 Standard straight-pull barrel, like other Strasser 700 series models, is protected from scratches and corrosion by PlasOx surface treatment. The rifle's barrels are cold-hammer forged for accuracy and durability. Each barrel is pre-threaded for a suppressor or muzzle brake. It features a quality Timney Hunter Elite trigger with a two-position safety and a pull weight of 2.5 lbs (approximately 1.13 Kg). The action includes a cocking indicator.

Compatibility with Remington 700:

• Stocks: The RS 700 is compatible with all Remington 700 Short Action stocks for both right- and left-handed shooters. The lock holder fits stylishly into the stock's handle opening. The holder can be switched to either side according to the stock.
• Barrels: Any Remington 700 barrel with a barrel nut or indexing for barrel locking can be used with the RS 700. Due to the use of the so-called "fat bolt" style in manufacturing, slight modifications are necessary for a slightly larger bolt to fit the barrel.
• AICS compatible: AICS (Accuracy International Chassis System) is the magazine standard. All double-stack AICS-compatible polymer and metal magazines that feed single stack will fit the rifle.
• Triggers: All Remington 700 triggers are compatible.
