Launched as a complete package with a stock, the Strasser RS 700 Legend is an exceptionally clever and smooth bolt-action rifle.

The rifle action is based on the Remington 700, one of the most popular bases for bolt-action rifles worldwide. As a direct drive action, Strasser's vision results in a significantly quicker operation compared to traditional bolt-action rifles without compromising safety: the RS 700 uses four locking lugs, each capable of securely locking the shot. The RS 700 can easily accommodate widely available Remington 700 barrels, two-piece scope mounts, trigger mechanisms, and stocks for both left- and right-handed users. Additionally, the rifle utilizes AICS magazine wells, making it compatible with AICS-standard magazines.

Constructed from durable steel, the RS 700 Legend, like other models in the Strasser 700 series, features PlasOx surface protection to guard against scratches and corrosion. The rifle barrels are cold-hammer forged to ensure accuracy and durability. The barrels come with a pre-threaded end for a suppressor or muzzle brake. The rifles are equipped with the excellent Timney Hunter Elite trigger, which includes a two-position safety and a 2.5-pound (approximately 1.13 Kg) trigger pull weight. There is a cocking indicator at the rear of the action.

Compatibility with Remington 700:

• Stocks: The RS 700 is compatible with all Remington 700 Short Action right- and left-handed stocks. The receiver is stylishly integrated into the stock's handle opening. The receiver can be easily swapped from one side to the other based on stock configuration.
• Barrels: All Remington 700 barrels with a barrel nut or step for locking the barrel are compatible with the RS 700. Due to the use of a "fat bolt" design, some minor modification is necessary to ensure the larger bolt fits with the barrel.
• AICS Compatible: AICS (Accuracy International Chassis System) is the magazine standard. All double-stack, single-feed polymer and metal magazines compatible with the AICS standard fit this rifle.
• Trigger Mechanisms: All Remington 700 trigger mechanisms are compatible.
