Firearm: Glock 45 Hunter MOS The Glock 45 is a crossover model that combines the full-sized Glock 17 frame with the shorter slide of the Glock 19. This construction provides a full grip surface and a 17-round magazine capacity, but the balance and handling of the firearm are excellent due to the more compact slide.
The Hunter special model comes standard with a threaded barrel for suppressors and a unique green frame that stands out. The firearm features a MOS cut for optics and front serrations that facilitate slide manipulation.
Optics: Holosun SCS MOS The Holosun SCS (Solar Charging Sight) is designed specifically for Glock's MOS system. The sight mounts directly to the firearm's slide without a separate adapter plate. This ensures an extremely low sight line, allowing the use of the firearm's own iron sights through the red dot. The titanium body and integrated solar panel system make the sight durable and reliable.
Holster and Mounting: Safariland GLS Pro-Fit & BGS Mid-ride The chosen holster is the Safariland 578 GLS Pro-Fit (Standard). The GLS (Grip Locking System) is an intuitive locking system that releases the firearm when the grip is squeezed during the draw. The lock operates from the trigger guard, ensuring that the threaded barrel or optics do not interfere with holstering.
The package includes three mounting methods for various usage scenarios:
• BGS Mid-ride: A belt attachment made by Battle Gnome Solutions that lowers the weapon slightly below the waistline. Ideal for SRA use and facilitates drawing while wearing gear.
