Glock pistols are renowned for their reliability and durability. The sixth generation enhances weapon handling and user comfort, incorporating a number of desired improvements from end users. Many of the aftermarket modifications added in previous Glock generations are now redundant as they come standard with the firearm. This weapon is ideal for sport shooters looking for a service model pistol or anyone who values a reliable and high-quality handgun. There are ample holster options for Glock pistols, and spare parts and tuning components are readily available.
New features:
1. Enhanced ergonomics and control.
2. Modified optical mount system. Optical readiness is now standard on all models.
3. Improved reliability while maintaining accessory compatibility.
Enhanced ergonomics and control
The new RTF6 surface texture combines the RTF2 and RTF4 textures to provide better grip while offering a more comfortable surface for the hand. The textured area has been significantly increased compared to previous versions. The grip has been ergonomically shaped for multiple hand sizes, ensuring a better hold for shooters. The trigger mechanism has been modified to provide better control at the trigger finger's position. The trigger has also been slightly moved rearward, making it better suited for shooters with smaller hands or shorter fingers. The firearm comes with two interchangeable backstraps (2mm and 4mm) to accommodate larger hands.
The grip features a high Beavertail which allows for a crucial high hold for recoil control, protecting the shooter’s hand from the movement of the slide. The design of the frame has been improved by raising the Undercut of the trigger guard to allow for an even higher grip while improving recoil management. Thumb rests have been shaped directly into the frame above the trigger guard on both sides to facilitate an identical grip and assist in recoil control. The Magwell has been enlarged, meaning the magazine well has been flared and beveled to speed up and ensure successful magazine changes. The slide release has been raised and widened on both sides of the frame to reduce the possibility of accidental engagement. Slide serrations have been deepened and reshaped for better handling.
Modified optical mount system.
Optical readiness is now standard on every Gen6 firearm. Instead of separate mounting plates, sights are now directly attached to the slide using a plastic adapter plate to assist with the mounting. The plastic adapter plate minimizes the impact on the sight from recoil. Attaching the sight directly to the slide without a mounting plate lowers the red-dot sight closer to make locating the sight picture easier.
Improved reliability while maintaining accessory compatibility.
The reliability of the firearm has been enhanced with minor changes to the recoil spring, extractor, and barrel. The weapon retains compatibility with Gen5 compliant magazines and holsters, allowing owners of previous generations to avoid changing their gear and providing plenty of options for new owners.
The package includes:
