The new Benelli Black Eagle is the "little brother" of the Super Black Eagle 3 model. This firearm is chambered in 12/76 and shares many of the same excellent features as the SBE3 model. The Black Eagle features a Comfortech3 stock, Crio barrel, and Crio interchangeable chokes. The standard delivery includes 5 internal chokes, of which 3 are fully internal and 2 are internal/external with texture.
The Black Eagle is suitable for all shotgun hunting. The lower part of the receiver is made fromERGAL, while the upper receiver cover is also made from ERGAL. The model name BLACK EAGLE is engraved on the right side of the receiver.
The barrel is made 100% in Italy from an Italian nickel-chromium-molybdenum special steel, with both the barrel and chokes cold-treated. The exterior of the barrel is matte finish. The barrel rail is an elevated forest rail. The front bead is a red fiber bead. The chamber length is 76mm (3") and the firearm is compatible with standard and magnum cartridges. The chokes are cold-treated 7cm/9cm long Crio chokes.
The Comfortech 3 stock is patented by Benelli and designed to reduce recoil. The Comfortech 3 stock is made from durable fiberglass-reinforced plastic (Rilsan). The stock features thirteen synthetic recoil-absorbing "boomerangs" that run through the butt. Thanks to Benelli's newly developed polyurethane butt pad, softer Comptech cheek piece, and Comfortech stock, perceived recoil has been reduced by dozens of percent. The barrel rise has also significantly decreased, enabling faster re-targeting. The fore-end and fore-end cap have been reshaped, and the ergonomic design of the fore-end ensures an optimal and balanced grip.
The trigger guard of the Black Eagle model has been redesigned for ease of use. The firearm features a two-piece, spring-loaded cartridge retaining plate, making feeding cartridges into the magazine easier, and removing them from the magazine (bottom-loading) is significantly lighter and more user-friendly than, for example, the m2 model. The Easy Locking mechanism, familiar from the Raffaello-13 series, turns completely, even when the lock is quietly disengaged by hand, ensuring the firearm is always ready to fire. The cocking lever and bolt release button are larger than those on the m2 model.
The drop at the comb is adjustable with the included spacers for lengths of 50-64 millimeters from the aiming line, and the bend can be adjusted for either right or left-handed shooters. The standard butt pad is 2.5cm thick. With the standard butt pad installed, the firearm’s length of pull is 365mm. Optional longer (+1cm) and shorter (-1cm) butt pads are available. The firearm's design allows for the installation of extension magazine tubes. Black Eagle series firearms are delivered in a plastic black transport case.
