A course designed for pistol shooters interested in action shooting and tactical shooting. The course covers the techniques of both action shooting and tactical shooting in parallel, making it ideal for competitive shooters as well as those who carry firearms for work. The course provides a wealth of knowledge for dynamic shooting and moves the shooting experience beyond the clinical aspects of range shooting. Ample time is allocated to mastering fundamental skills, and the application-based training and drills section at the end reinforces the lessons learned. Graduates of the course can join a communication group that organizes additional training and refreshers before advancing to the level three course.
Course content:
- Introductory briefing, four safety rules, and the fundamentals of safe firearm use.
- Skills assessment test and baseline level check.
- Shooting from a kneeling position and transitions
- Shooting while moving
- One-handed shooting and magazine changes
- Shooting from cover
- Applied exercises and drills
- Level test
The course lasts 9 hours, including a one-hour lunch break.
Participants are required to have a self-loading pistol suitable for action shooting, three magazines, a safe holster, magazine pouches, and approximately 300 rounds of ammunition. If you do not yet own a personal firearm, a rental is available from ATC. The rental price is 30 € and includes a holster, magazine pouches, and magazines. Ammunition can also be purchased on-site.
Prerequisites for the course: status as a safe shooter (IPSC, SRA) or completion of ATC's Functional Pistol Shooting 1 course.
