We create a slot for optics on the slide of pistols in collaboration with a blacksmith. The necessary slot is machined into the pistol slide either for direct optics attachment or for a mounting plate attachment.
Important Technical Considerations:
- Not all combinations are feasible. If the optics attachment is too wide for the pistol slide, a spacer plate must be created.
- We require the entire firearm for the work. A few exceptions apply.
- Rear sight retention. In some slides, the rear sight can be retained in place while machining the slot or attachment plate in front of the rear sight.
- Removal of the rear sight. The rear sight can be permanently removed from the slide if the customer wishes so.
- All Glock pistols are compatible with this service. Only the slide needs to be provided.
- CZ pistols and optics with RMR mounting base require a spacer plate. For this, we need: the barrel, slide, and recoil spring.
- 2021 pistols and optics with RMR mounting base also require a spacer plate. For this, we need the entire firearm.
