The suppressors will be updated to the new Generation 3 as of 2024. Starting June 18, 2024, all new orders for 5.56 suppressors will feature this new generation. Other calibers will follow later. The new version has improved flash and sound suppression. Previous GEN2 Micro and Compact suppressors exhibited excessive flash, especially when used with shorter barrels and certain ammunition. The new GEN3 suppressors provide excellent flash suppression, with the Micro variant reducing flash from a 10" barrel. Additionally, sound suppression has reached a new level. With Compact and Streamer size suppressors for 5.56 caliber, the sound remains below 137dB at the shooter’s ear, which is a safe level for hearing. The internal structure of the new series has received modifications, identifiable by the conical shape visible in the bullet hole as well as the GEN3 marking on the end.
The Micro Streamer is the shortest suppressor in Silent Steel's series. Suppression efficiency: 10-15dB. Designed for users wanting a lightweight and compact rifle. The Micro Streamer provides a brake-like feel in the rifle while still offering sufficient suppression, making it significantly more comfortable to shoot indoors. Sound and pressure are directed forward, creating less noise and pressure for the shooter and their companion.
The through-hull design does not significantly increase the amount of returning gas to the rifle. Therefore, it is not necessary to change the gas settings. The steel-cased suppressor is built for functional shooting and withstands heat very well.
With this suppressor, the change in point of impact is minimal. Thanks to its symmetrical internal structure, the effect on the bullet is uniform from all sides, keeping the trajectory consistent. On average, shooting with this suppressor changes the point of impact by 1-4cm directly downward at a distance of 100m.
