Suppressors will be upgraded to the new Generation 3 in 2024. As of June 18, 2024, all newly ordered 5.56 suppressors will already be of the new generation. Other calibers will follow later. The new version features improved flash and sound suppression. The previous GEN2 Micro and Compact sized suppressors exhibited excessive flash, particularly with short barrels and certain ammunition types. The new GEN3 series suppressors provide excellent flash suppression, with the Micro model effectively eliminating flash from a 10" barrel. Additionally, the sound suppression has reached a new level. With the Compact and Streamer sized suppressors in .223 caliber, the sound remains below 137dB when measured next to the shooter’s ear, ensuring a safe level for hearing. The interior of the new series suppressor has been modified, distinguishable by the cone visible in the bullet hole and the GEN3 marking on the end.
The Micro Streamer is the shortest suppressor in the Silent Steel line. Suppression power: 10-15dB. Designed for users who want the lightest and shortest rifle setup. The Micro Streamer offers a brake-like feeling in the rifle while still providing sufficient suppression, making shooting indoors significantly more pleasant. The sound and pressure are directed forward, reducing the noise and pressure experienced by the shooter and companions.
The through-tube design does not significantly increase the amount of gas returning to the rifle, eliminating the need to switch gas settings. This steel suppressor is designed for practical shooting and withstands heat exceptionally well.
The QD (Quick Detachable) suppressor attaches to Silent Steel’s own muzzle brake/suppressor. The suppressor and the muzzle brake feature M27x1.5 threads, making attachment and removal easy. The design ensures that the pressure generated during firing tightens the suppressor in place, eliminating the need for additional locking mechanisms. The structure of the brake head and the heat-resistant O-ring seal the suppressor and prevent combustion residues from entering the threads.
Thanks to the mounting structure, the suppressor always attaches at the same point, resulting in minimal shift in point of impact. The symmetrical internal structure ensures that the impact on the bullet is consistent from all sides, keeping the bullet’s trajectory the same. On average, shooting with this suppressor alters the point of impact by 1-4cm directly downwards at a distance of 100m.
