Zhukov-U Hand Guard is 1.5 inches shorter than the original Zhukov AK Hand Guard.
Zhukov-U is better suited for shorter AK rifles.
Zhukov-U uses the same durable aluminum frame as the longer standard Zhukov.
Includes M-LOK slots for accessory attachment and is fully compatible with the UltiMAK gas tube rail. Installation requires removing the handguard's mounting bracket.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
*NOTE: The Zhukov-U handguard requires the permanent removal of the factory handguard retaining clip and front sling attachment if applicable. Ensure that the barrel diameter under the handguard is 16.75-18.25 millimeters before cutting the retaining cap!
Due to the broad range of tolerances in standard AKs, fitting may be required. Not compatible with Yugo rifles or RPK-type firearms.
The heat shield is lightened to accept standard AK cleaning rods.
WARNINGS: Due to the extended length of the handguard, barrels shorter than 11.5" are not recommended for installation with this product.
