Magpul PMAG 40 AR/M4 GEN M3 is a 40-round polymer magazine compatible with AR15/M4 rifles in caliber 5.56x45 NATO/.223 Rem. The market elite against which all other magazines are compared. This magazine is windowless = slightly more affordable.

The next generation PMAG 40 GEN M3 is a 40-round 5.56x45 NATO (.223 Remington) polymer magazine compatible with AR15/M4 rifles. In addition to the expanded feature set and improved compatibility, it includes new material technology and manufacturing processes that enhance strength, durability, and reliability, exceeding rigorous military performance requirements.

Although the GEN M3 is optimized for Colt-spec AR15/M4 platforms, the modified internal and external geometry also allows compatibility with multiple other weapons such as the HK® 416/MR556A1/M27 IAR, British SA-80, FN® SCAR~ MK 16/16S, and more.

The PMAG 40 GEN M3 features a long-lasting stainless steel spring, a four-way anti-tilt follower, and standard curvature internal geometry for reliable feeding, while simple tool-less disassembly facilitates cleaning.

Moreover, the redesigned bolt catch notch at the magazine rear increases bolt hold-open functionality, while the rear over-travel stop helps ensure the magazine does not over-insert into compatible weapons. Low-profile ribs and a new aggressive front and rear texture provide positive control of the GEN M3 in all environments, and a paint pen dot matrix on the body’s lower panel allows the end-user to make easy markings for identification.

The new, easily removable floor plate enhances magazine removal and handling while providing better drop protection, but is slightly thinner than before for a better fit in tight double and triple magazine pouches. The included detachable impact/dust cover can be used to minimize debris intrusion and protect the upper cartridge from potential damage during storage and transport.
