Sharpening:• First grind both sides of the blade with a coarse sharpening stone in a lateral direction until a "twist" forms on the blade's edge.• Remove the twist on the smoother side of the sharpening stone.• Use water for sharpening as well.• Clean and dry the blade.• Regularly sharpen the knife to avoid demanding single sharpening sessions. Sheath care:• Treat the knife sheath with leather conditioner if necessary. Knife care:• Do not wash the carbon steel knife in a dishwasher.• Always dry and clean the blade after use.• Store the knife in its sheath and keep it in a dry place.• Occasionally treat the carbon steel with cooking oil or paraffin oil.
