The Sako Powerhead Blade is a newly developed monolithic full-copper bullet cartridge, designed specifically for longer distance hunting. The Blade Pro is optimized for situations where high performance is required at longer and more challenging ranges.
Similar to the Sako Blade, the Blade Pro is equipped with the terminal ballistic Blade tip. Due to its design, the Blade Pro offers top-tier penetration capability and rapid expansion, ensuring reliable stopping power even at lower velocities for game shots taken from longer distances. The effective performance level is designed to operate effectively on both soft tissue and bone impact.
The Blade Pro has a better ballistic coefficient (BC) than the Blade. A better ballistic coefficient results in improved impact energy, more moderate wind drift, and a more stable trajectory, leading to overall better accuracy at longer distances.
Sako Blade vs Sako Blade Pro
The optimal impact range for the Sako Blade is around 100 meters, while the Blade Pro's optimal impact range is around 300 meters. Therefore, the Blade Pro is not a replacement for the Blade, but rather a new product in the selection of monolithic bullets and cartridges, providing an option for longer distance hunting.
